The Alternative Middle School provides a small student to teacher ratio, academically rigorous curriculum, and a supportive learning community for some of the highest risk middle school students in the Boston Public School system. Classroom instruction addresses specific academic skills and knowledge gaps, and provides students with a full range of curriculum in Humanities, Science and Math. Literacy, workforce/career development and technology are also central components of the program which is designed to ensure that students develop the skills to reengage in their education and successfully transition back into high school.
